Maple, ON—In conclusion of Restricted Mobility Awareness Month, I want to share with you an integral research study about arthritis.

Research has shown that a joint that has been immobilized (not moving well or has restricted joint mobility), it will begin to show irreversible degeneration (joint damage) within two (2) weeks.1

That’s right! Two (2) weeks.

How does this related to chiropractic?

A misalignment of the spine (vertebral subluxation) is a spinal joint that has restriction mobility. Which means that when spinal misalignments (subluxations) are not corrected immediately, that spinal joint will begin to have irreversible joint damage (degenerative joint disease).

This damage occurs at the cartilage area of the joint. It starts with cellular damage on the joint surface, which doesn’t show up on x-rays yet. It takes years and years of progressive damage to show up on x-rays.

But a spinal joint that has been restricted (subluxated) is on it’s way to forming arthritis unless it’s corrected with a specific, scientific chiropractic adjustment.

To prevent arthritis from developing, to prevent spinal damage from progressing, and to prevent overall restricted mobility, chiropractic is absolutely essential and required.

Why? Because chiropractic is the only profession that is dedicated to the correction of restricted joint mobility (spinal misalignments, aka subluxations).

If you are under regular chiropractic care, keep it up. You are investing in your future health and ultimate potential as a human being. Keep up with your weekly adjustments.

If you are on a supportive maintenance schedule of care, keep up weekly, or at second best, every 2 weeks because spinal misalignment that persist longer than 2 weeks will begin to have irreversible joint damage.

If you are not under chiropractic care at this time, when is now a good time to get a check up or an update exam? Call us and we can help get you back on track.

Chiropractic is a lifestyle. It’s more than just a treatment for a condition. It’s about optimizing your life by keeping your spine protected and by optimizing your nervous system.

If you know anyone that has restricted mobility, tell them about chiropractic and tell them about our office.

Together, we can make a huge difference in their quality of life.
