Why corrective chiropractic care?

Corrective Chiropractic Care 2A healthy spine and a normal posture is essential for optimal health.  The spine protects the nervous system, specifically the spinal cord.  The nervous system is the master system of your body, which controls and co-ordinates all body parts, organs, systems, healing and repair.  It is essential that messages from the brain flow to and from your body through your spinal cord and nerves with no interference.  This is required for optimal bodily movements, organ system funtion and for repair and healing. When these nerve messages are interfered with, the body begins to express dis-ease (dis-harmony), which can manifest into symptoms like pain, muscle tightness, soreness, limited mobility and health problems.

The objective to corrective chiropractic care is to assess for and correct spinal misalignments and postural displacements. This is quite different then just treating pain, which is always a symptom of the underlying problem (cause).  A component of corrective chiropractic care is to help manage pain, but it doesn’t end there.  The objective is restore your spine to normal alignment and normal function and to restore your body’s position to normal posture.

This is accomplished with evidenced-based corrective chiropractic care which employs a technique called Chiropractic Biophysics® (CBP®).  The doctor at Back To Health Chiropractic Centre is trained in Chiropractic BioPhysics®, a proven, scientific and effective approach to correcting spinal and postural problems.
